WELCOME TO MYRIADES 1

MYRIADES 1 is an invitation to integrate and investigate. To take part in the varied enterprise of human knowledge, contributing our individually unique way of seeing things in order to achieve a broader vision.
It is designed to be of particular interest to students and to anybody who has the passion, flexibility and adaptability to allow their creativity to flow, along an ethical path, beyond preconceptions.
We have five known senses and their perceptual range is limited. The information they receive is processed by our nervous system and read by the mind’s database. The response is checked against existing paradigms. If confirmed, it is accepted.
“World” is a limited definition. That which exists, but is not defined in recognizable terms, is rejected.
For practical reasons, perhaps, and the characteristics of our cultural inheritance, human knowledge continues to accumulate, only to splinter again and again. Each branch, at a given time, has asserted its claim to be “the Truth”.
Our diverse modes of expression – philosophy, art, science, religion – are all analogies, by means of which we endeavour to gain or transmit knowledge. The phenomenon, the name we give to it, and the mental image it produces in us, coexist on different planes.
An analogy is not true or false; it is, to a lesser or greater extent, an approximation. It is helpful to bear in mind that it is an analogy. When we stick rigidly to concepts, we lose that flexibility without which we cannot accept the new.
MYRIADES 1 works to integrate points of view on a broad range of human activity and expression, with the aim of realizing the limits of perception and achieving a more complete vision, one in which to be engaged intellectually, emotionally and physically.
So that we might integrate our potentialities and thus contribute to the creation of a new concept of “world”.
The more of us there are, the further our voice will carry.

Welcome to MYRIADES 1 .
